Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus seeks an Independent Contractor - Child Care Provider to support sessions across the Carolinas, including North Carolina and nearby areas. The role involves planning age-appropriate activities, maintaining safety, and documenting attendance and rosters while adhering to DCDEE and Mecklenburg County Health standards.

Candidates should have 2 years of early childhood teaching experience, six SCH of ECE coursework, and preferably an Associate’s degree.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Six SCH of post-high school coursework in Early Childhood Education.
• Two years of early childhood teaching experience.
• Knowledge of DCDEE and Mecklenburg County Health Department standards.
• Must have or be able to obtain a NC Qualifying Letter.

Responsibilities

• Maintain timely documentation such as time sheets, agendas, and rosters.
• Be present for the entire duration of the childcare session.
• Accountability for the classroom’s set-up and clean-up.
• Report and document all suspicions of abuse or neglect to facilitator and/or Childcare Manager.
• Plan activities for childcare sessions that are age appropriate.
• Communicate concerns about safety and wellbeing to the facilitator and/or Child Care Manager within 24 hours.
