Thompson Child & Family Focus in North Carolina seeks an Independent Contractor - Child Care Provider. You will support age-appropriate activities, maintain safety, and document sessions while collaborating with facilitators and families.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, reporting concerns promptly, and completing mandatory trainings to ensure trauma-informed care for children aged 0-18 and their families.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in childcare settings.
• Six SCH of post-high school coursework in Early Childhood Education required/preferred.
• Two years of early childhood teaching experience and knowledge of DCDEE/Mecklenburg health standards.

• Maintain timely documentation such as time sheets, agendas, and rosters.
• Be present for the entire duration of the childcare session and supervise children.
• Plan age-appropriate activities and ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Report any suspicions of abuse or neglect to the Child Care Manager within 24 hours.
• Complete required trainings including Crisis Response and Child Maltreatment.
• Maintain professionalism and cooperate with facilitators, parents, and families.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the Child Care Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain timely documentation such as time sheets, agendas, and rosters.

• Accountability for the classroom’s set-up and clean-up.
• Will immediately report and document all suspicions of abuse or neglect to facilitator and/or Childcare Manger
• Maintain professionalism
• Plan activities for childcare sessions that are age appropriate
• Communicate and document concerns of the safety and wellbeing of children to the facilitator and/or Child Care Manager within 24 hours.
• Always maintain supervision of children
• Complete trainings on Crisis Response: Incident Reporting, PCANC Child Maltreatment training, Child Development Training, and Age-Appropriate Activities Training.
• Additional tasks assigned by Child Care Manager

A TYPICAL SCHEDULE

Contractor will work a varying rotating schedule depending on class schedules.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Have at least six SCH of post-high school coursework in Early Childhood Education
• 2 years of early childhood teaching experience
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Must have knowledge of regulations governed by DCDEE and Mecklenburg County Health Department standards.
• Must have or be able to obtain a state of NC Qualifying Letter as required for this role.
