The Claims Specialist manages lower-level, non-complex workers’ compensation claims within delegated authority, supporting the goals of the claims department and CorVel. This is a remote position.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

1. Receive claims, confirm policy coverage, and acknowledge the claim.
2. Determine validity and compensability of the claim.
3. Establish reserves and authorize payments within authority limits.
4. Manage non-complex medical-only and minor lost-time workers’ compensation claims under supervision.
5. Communicate claim status with customers, claimants, and clients.
6. Adhere to guidelines and participate in reviews as needed.
7. Assist with more complex claims as necessary.
8. Maintain regular attendance.
9. Comply with safety rules and regulations.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

Pay Range

Range: $51,807 – $83,551, based on location, experience, and other factors.
