Job summary

Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector for 2nd/3rd shift to inspect incoming materials and assemblies in a high-precision manufacturing setting. You will verify conformance using drawings, specs, CMMs, and vision systems, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.

Preferred GD&T, CMMs, Zeiss Calypso or PC-DMIS experience; the role supports 2nd or 3rd shift, with competitive pay and benefits.

• Review supplier certifications, certificates of conformance (CoCs), test reports, and other quality documentation.
• Record inspection results and determine product acceptance against established specifications and quality requirements.

Incoming Quality Inspector, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6.30 AM) based in Middlefield, CT, you will inspect and verify incoming materials, components, assemblies, and outsourced processes before they are released to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of mechanical, optical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and sampling plans.
• Use conventional measurement equipment, CMMs, and vision systems to verify product requirements.

Preferred experience includes GD&T, CMMs, Zeiss Calypso or PC-DMIS, AS9100/AS9102 or ISO 9001, and experience in optics, aerospace, medical devices, precision machining, or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
