Zygo in Middlefield, CT is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector for 2nd or 3rd shift to inspect and verify incoming materials, components, and assemblies before release to production. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of mechanical, optical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and sampling plans.
• Use conventional measurement equipment, CMMs, and vision systems to verify product requirements.
• Review supplier certifications, certificates of conformance (CoCs), test reports, and other quality documentation.
• Record inspection results and determine product acceptance against established specifications and quality requirements.

As an Incoming Quality Inspector, 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) or 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6.30 AM) based in Middlefield, CT, you will inspect and verify incoming materials, components, assemblies, and outsourced processes before they are released to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming and in-process inspections of mechanical, optical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and sampling plans.
• Use conventional measurement equipment, CMMs, and vision systems to verify product requirements.
