Job summary

Task Force Tips in Valparaiso, IN is seeking an Incoming/Receiving Quality Assurance Specialist to inspect incoming materials and suppliers, log results, and support ISO/QMS activities. You will work with Purchasing, Engineering and Production to resolve quality issues.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires at least two years manufacturing experience, ability to read drawings, and comfort with gauges, measurement equipment, and calibrated processes.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience, especially in quality or receiving roles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and supplier prints.
• Understanding of incoming inspection and nonconforming material handling.
• Computer proficiency for receiving, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Ability to perform calibrations and maintain inspection equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Clear, respectful communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components, supplier products, and repair items against drawings and specs.
• Receive and log incoming supplier materials in appropriate systems.
• Use precision measurement equipment and create gauge sheets for new products.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials and supplier quality concerns.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Quality leadership to resolve issues.
• Obtain RGA numbers and prepare materials for return; follow up on replacements.
• Route repair items to appropriate departments and track quality issues through resolution.
• Maintain calibration schedules and proper storage of gauges and equipment.
• Support ISO/QMS activities and record-keeping.
• Suggest process improvements to inspection, supplier quality, and material handling.
• Train team members in inspection of manufactured parts and finished goods.
