Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Supplier Specialist in Kalamazoo, MI to perform incoming inspection of materials and document results, supporting nonconforming material handling and PPAP tracking within supplier quality processes.

You will collaborate to investigate non-conformances, maintain quality records, and assist with audits. Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, plus forklift use and Faro arm handling, are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to use the Faro arm.
• Ability to drive the forklift.
• Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Organizational skills.
• Proficiency, or willingness to develop, with software programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer expectations and impact to Tekna.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of raw materials when received
• Accurately document the results of inspection
• Work with appropriate personnel to determine disposition of nonconforming material found at incoming inspection
• Properly identify materials after inspection
• Perform first article inspections as directed
• Assist in evaluation of returns as directed
• Document nonconforming materials within the quality system and assist with gathering information to support disposition determination
• Assist in maintaining and tracking supplier corrective action documentation and follow-up status
• Track and document PPAP submissions and status on behalf of the Supplier Quality Engineer
• Support complaint investigations by gathering records, data, and documentation as directed
• Provide support for audit-related activities as directed (e.g., gathering records, preparing documentation, logistics)
• Support supplier qualification and monitoring activities
• Collaborate with various internal and external personnel to investigate causes of non-conformances, minimize cost of quality, and strive for continuous improvement.
