Job summary

Linde Inc. in Danbury, CT, is seeking an Income Tax Accountant to support the U.S. Corporate Income Tax Department in preparing Federal, State, and local income tax returns, examinations, and ASC 740 tax provision reporting.

You will assist with extensions, notices and audits, ensure timely estimated tax payments, maintain critical deliverables calendar, and help digitalize processes to improve analysis and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business; Master’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in public accounting and/or private corporate tax preferred.
• Strong self-directed professional with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating on teams; strong verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of Federal, State, and local income tax returns.
• Assist with state, city and federal extensions and return filings.
• Ensure accurate and timely estimated income tax payments and reporting.
• Assist with notices and audits at state and city levels.
• Maintain payment and due date calendar for critical deliverables.
• Assist with ASC 740 tax provision calculations and quarterly/year-end reporting.
• Assist with research, scenario modeling, and tax topics as requested.
• Assist with digitalization improvements to streamline processes and improve analysis.

• Some experience (1-2 years) either in public accounting and/or private corporate tax preferred
• Must be a strong self-directed professional with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced demanding environment, handle multiple tasks, problem solve and effectively follow-through
• Experience working collaboratively on teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Suite Software
