Job summary

Brunswick County is seeking an Income Maintenance Caseworker I to enter applications and recertifications, conduct interviews, and process household changes using NCFAST and the local document system.

Responsibilities include daily NC FAST tasks, data entry into NC FAST and document management, and staying updated on policy changes. The role requires effective communication and organization, with availability during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associated, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial, or a closely related curriculum; or
• Graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience; or
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Direct experience with NC FAST is highly desirable as well as the Intro to Human Services and Income Maintenance Caseworker - NC FAST Certificates.

Responsibilities

• Complete changes, enter applications/recertifications into state system, and complete interviews
• Complete NC FAST Tasks daily
• Enter data into NC FAST and document management system
• Attend Trainings
• Stay abreast of policy updates
• Must be available to work during emergency situations.
