Job summary

Cape Cod Community College is seeking a Theater Instructor for the Project Forward program. The course engages neurodivergent students, using drama to build self-expression, confidence, and workplace readiness through hands-on activities and collaborative performance.

The position emphasizes accessibility, inclusive teaching, and collaboration with Project Forward staff. It is part-time with a modest load and requires a Bachelor's degree, theater experience, and a US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience teaching Theater or Drama.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Proficient in computer skills including typing and file management.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's License for field trips.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach an engaging, inclusive theater course for neurodivergent students.
• Create personalized activities to accommodate diverse abilities.
• Facilitate a small final performance to showcase progress.
• Consult and co-plan with colleagues when needed.
• Attend Project Forward staff meetings as scheduled.
