Onward Search Education seeks a compassionate Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in DuPage County, IL. You will support elementary and middle school students with diverse learning needs, implementing IEPs, delivering differentiated instruction, and collaborating with teachers to promote inclusion and academic growth.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, progress monitoring, and building strong partnerships with families and administrators to ensure consistent supports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education or related field.
• PEL with Special Education Endorsement in IL.
• Experience supporting diverse learners in special ed or inclusive settings; elementary or middle school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and grade-appropriate goals; adapt materials and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers; deliver differentiated, standards-aligned strategies.
• Use data-informed assessments and progress monitoring to promote skill development.
• Provide individualized, small-group, and in-class support to strengthen academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Create a structured, supportive classroom environment fostering independence, self-regulation, and effective communication.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, admins, and families to ensure consistent supports.
