Job summary

School Lane Charter School in Bucks County, PA, seeks a Learning Support Co-Teacher/Special Education Case Manager for our IB campus to provide English/Language Arts support to 7th and 8th graders.

The role emphasizes inclusive learning, collaboration with teachers, development of IEPs, assessment, and adapting instruction to diverse learning styles; experience with IB programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• PA Certification in Special Education 7-12 or K-12.
• PA Certification in English 7-12 helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assess developmental, cognitive, emotional and social needs; provide developmentally appropriate instruction.
• Complete academic testing and use results with observations for placement decisions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop instruction aligned with SLCS curricula.
• Develop, monitor and report on all IEPs within guidelines.
• Ensure differentiated instruction and accommodations per IEP.
• Advocate for students to ensure needs are met.
• Evaluate student performance and share with teachers and administration.
• Identify students at risk academically and/or behaviorally in collaboration with staff.
