Job summary

Bridges Public Charter School seeks a Dedicated Aide to support students with special needs in PK-5 inclusive and non-categorical self-contained classrooms. You will assist with specialized instruction and related services for students, under supervision of a BCBA practitioner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ParaPro preferred.
• Experience or training in ABA/VB is beneficial but not required.
• Commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teacher in a non-categorical self-contained/inclusion classroom for high-level special needs students.
• Implement care plans and assist with ADLS and assistive technology.
• Maintain student safety and model positive behavior.
• Support assigned students with physical and academic support during instruction.
• Collect data to track progress in curriculum, IEP, ADLS, and ABA/VB.
• Follow Functional Communication Protocols and Behavior Protocols.
• Collaborate with specialists to address student needs in the classroom.
• Assist in incorporating students into all aspects of the academic environment.
• Support a classroom culture that develops emotional, cognitive, and social abilities.
• Attend events outside regular hours; perform other duties as assigned.
