Job summary

Bridges Public Charter School is seeking a Spanish-speaking Special Education ABA Teacher Assistant for grades 1–5. You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support a non-categorical elementary classroom for students with high-level special needs, implementing DTT, social skills, and behavior plans under a BCBA supervisor.

Qualifications

• AA/BA/MA or HS diploma and Praxis ParaPro exam.
• Strong Spanish speaking language skills.
• RBT certification preferred; ABA and VB training provided to sit for the exam.
• Coursework in early childhood education, elementary education, or human development.
• Experience with children or students with special needs.
• Demonstrate strong skills in partnering with families.
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Lead Teacher to plan and manage an elementary non-categorical self-contained classroom with high-needs students.
• Support development and implementation of classroom Discrete Trial Instruction, social skills instruction, and behavior plan under supervision of the BCBA.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring across IEP, curriculum, ABA/VB.
• Support students during small group instruction and specials classes (Spanish, Music, PE, Art).
• Maintain attendance and grade records; organize classroom bulletin boards and daily routines.
• Participate in Parent-Teacher Conferences and translate as needed; engage families and community.
