Qualifications

• Knowledge of presenting and publicizing programs

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, promoting, implementing and evaluating recreation activities for individuals with disabilities
• Assist in organizing a monthly calendar of events and projects
• Maintain attendance records and prepare monthly reports
• Prepare communications with clients and families through progress reports
• Maintain contact with schools and community groups for program implementation
• Plan and coordinate fundraising activities
• Attend Special Olympics clinics and coach meetings; train athletes
• Respond to inquiries for service from community groups
• Participate in meetings to evaluate techniques and content
• Plan special holiday activities and events; assist in designing sets and costumes
• Participate in all aspects of recreation therapy programs and events; prepare materials
• Schedule and give public presentations about programs and services
• Maintain knowledge of current techniques; attend workshops and conferences
