Qualifications

• Coursework in early childhood education and 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Commitment to equitable instructional practices and inclusive education.

• Excellent organizational skills and a flexible, creative approach to meeting student needs.
• Physical ability to meet the requirements of the position, including lifting.
• Willingness to learn and implement specialized support strategies for diverse learning profiles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, intensive support for individual and small groups of students in personal development, personal care, behavior support, and social-emotional skills.
• Promote child growth by fostering independence and self-advocacy.
• Facilitate effective communication, social-emotional development, and behavioral support across inclusive preschool classroom settings.
• Collaborate closely with the early education team, special education team, and classroom teachers to align support with student needs.
• Support students during transitions, which may include the bus ride to and/or from school.
• Maintain a flexible, creative approach to meeting student needs and a willingness to learn and implement specialized support strategies.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding student progress and instructional goals.
