Job summary

Health First is seeking a dedicated staff member to train and support students with disabilities during work site rotations and employment opportunities. The role emphasizes upholding I-Care values and coordinating with families, schools, and co-workers to ensure successful placements.

Responsibilities include coaching on grooming, communication, and professional behavior, plus maintaining safety and confidentiality across multiple sites in Brevard County.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work non-traditional hours based on student needs.
• Able to drive throughout Brevard County.
• Pass appropriate school board requirements and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Performs job coaching and job development at Health First facilities or local employers within Brevard County throughout the year.
• Identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions related to a student intern’s job rotation or offsite employment and training.
• Perform job analysis, task analysis, and job matching activities.
• Coach students in grooming, hygiene, communication, interviewing, and appropriate behaviors for employment success.
• Communicate with Project Search Team to decide issues affecting student success at worksites and offsite.Provide professional, courteous information to customers.
• Flex work shifts as needed to meet student employment needs.
• Ensure student safety at rotations and various environments within Health First and offsite employers.
• Adhere to safety and confidentiality requirements.
