Job summary

Peckham Inc. in Lansing, MI, seeks a Job Coach to teach job-specific tasks and workplace behavior to people with disabilities. You will conduct one-on-one training at Peckham locations and support clients to become independent and confident in their new roles.

Travel training may be required. Assigned locations vary across the Greater Lansing area; per diem hours (0–30 per week) may apply depending on demand and availability. This role does not offer Peckham staff benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one job training to clients at various worksites and Peckham locations.
• Train persons with disabilities on job-specific tasks and workplace interpersonal skills.
• Assist the employee in becoming independent, competent, and confident in their new workplace.
• Support the employee with establishing natural supports and facilitate workplace inclusion.
• Document client progress and provide professional progress reports to staff and supervisors.
• Provide regular communication to staff and supervisors as needed.
• Provide travel training services to clients.
