Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Intervention Specialist at Euclid Preparatory School in Cleveland, Ohio, to support K-8 students with IEPs and promote social-emotional growth. The role emphasizes rigorous instruction, behavior support, and data-driven planning within a public charter school network.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, conduct assessments, lead IEP meetings, and engage families while applying research-based practices and culturally responsive teaching.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks (FBI/BCI).
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and assisting in intervention strategies.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture.
• Use best-practice planning and instruction; apply culturally responsive teaching.
