Job summary

Edu-Aids is seeking an Intervention Specialist in Cincinnati, OH to support students with disabilities. The role focuses on creating and implementing IEPs, delivering direct instruction in various formats, and adapting methods to meet diverse needs within an inclusive classroom.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers, staff, and families, monitor student progress, and maintain clear records. A state SPED certificate and a degree in Special Education are required, with a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid state certification in Special Education (Mild–Moderate or Moderate–Severe).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and community.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction in diverse settings (one-on-one, small group, whole class).
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to students’ learning styles.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff and parents.
• Monitor and assess progress, adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain records of student performance and IEP compliance.
• Participate in professional development and training.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
