The IDEAL School of Manhattan seeks a talented Learning Specialist focused on Math and Science for a full-time role starting August 2026. You will teach Science within a co‑teaching team while independently leading Math sections, differentiating for diverse learners.

Ideal candidates will contribute to an inclusive learning community, collaborate with families, and participate in school life beyond the classroom, including clubs and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Special Education designation required.
• Lead classroom teaching experience a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Co‑plan, co‑teach, and support accessible science instruction and labs in an integrated model.
• Independently plan and manage math instruction with full differentiation for varied learners.
• Collaborate with therapists and professionals on support strategies for students.
• Adapt lessons using UDL principles to engage diverse abilities and styles.
• Communicate progress and collaborate with families and colleagues.
