Job summary

Saint Joseph’s University seeks a Program Specialist, Inclusive Excellence to oversee CID and Cura Collective programs across campus. The role partners with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to develop events and learning opportunities that foster belonging and inclusive excellence.

Responsibilities include planning and executing programming, advising student organizations, budgeting, marketing, and representation at university events.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student body.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Effective verbal, written, interpersonal, and public speaking communication across settings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to evaluate details.
• Able to multitask and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient with Google Suite and web-based software (e.g., Drupal).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive programming calendar for the University community.
• Provide programming and advising support to student organizations funded by SBAC.
• Lead and oversee student-centered events such as retreats, movie nights, heritage month activities, and celebrations.
• Create and maintain marketing, outreach, and social media presence; support the OIE website.
• Process invoices, monitor budgets, and report expenses.
• Collaborate with partners across University locations and represent the Office at events.
• Assist with outreach, mentoring, advocacy, and resource referrals for underrepresented students.
• Support events and activities for diverse student learning, retention, and belonging.
• Serve on standing and ad hoc committees addressing inclusive excellence.
