Job summary

Peralta Community College District is seeking qualified Part-Time Faculty to deliver high-quality, inclusive instruction aligned with its mission of advancing equity, student success, and academic excellence. Assignments vary across day, evening, weekend, online and hybrid classes at multiple colleges.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in TESL/TESOL or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in TESL, TESOL, or related field, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree with TESL certificate and master’s in linguistics/English/education, or equivalent.
• Equivalency or other qualifications acceptable per District procedures.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses per outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Develop syllabi, materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and submit grades on time.
• Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment for diverse students.
• Maintain regular communication with students and use LMS effectively.
