Job summary

Albertina Kerr seeks an Employment Consultant to facilitate inclusive employment for individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges. You will manage a caseload, deliver career assessments and job readiness training, and partner with local employers to create opportunities.

The role requires travel between sites in Salem, Keizer, Woodburn, Silverton, Sublimity, with potential weekend hours. A degree in rehabilitation counseling or education, plus relevant certifications, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in rehabilitation counseling or special education.
• CESP certification or APSE/ACRE training credentials preferred.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities and job coaching.
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with local businesses to identify job opportunities for individuals, with or without ADA accommodations.
• Educate employers on the benefits of a diverse workforce and promote inclusive hiring practices.
• Conduct worksite assessments and support individuals in integrating into workplace culture.
• Provide on-site support and advocacy as needed.
• Guide individuals through resume writing, interview practice, and transportation planning.
• Deliver Discovery/Career Exploration services and develop vocational profiles.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with support teams.
