Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking an Elementary Special Education (Inclusion) teacher to provide inclusive instruction aligned with district curricula. The role involves developing instruction, assessing student progress, and collaborating with the SPE team to adapt materials for Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

The candidate will implement engaging lessons, manage classroom behavior, and communicate with families while using technology to support diverse learners in a collaborative school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and grade level assigned.
• Competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the district curriculum.
• Prepare lessons accommodating individual student differences.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and school policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and technology to meet individual needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Maintain records and participate in staff development activities.
• Integrate technology in the teaching/learning process.
• Supervise aides/volunteers as needed.
