Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Pass pre-employment proficiency test.
Criminal Justice/fingerprint clearance.
Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher.
Administers tests.
Assists special education students requiring daily care.
Attends Individual Education Program meetings with assigned student(s).
Confers with teachers and/or parents as needed.
Implements instructional programs and lesson plans.
Instructs students individually or in small groups.
Maintains classroom equipment and student files/records.
Monitors and assists students across various environments.
Participates in in-service workshops and training.
Performs record keeping and clerical functions.
Picks up and/or delivers homework/assignments to students at home.
