Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the teacher.
• Administers tests.
• Assists special education students requiring daily care.
• Attends Individual Education Program meetings with assigned student(s).
• Confers with teachers and/or parents as required.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans.
• Instructs students individually or in small groups.
• Maintains classroom equipment and student files/records.
• Monitors and assists students during assigned periods in various environments.
• Participates in in-service workshops and training.
• Performs record keeping and clerical functions.
• Delivers homework/assignments to students at home.
• Provides documentation of students' work.
• Responds to emergencies.
• Assists other personnel as required.
