Job summary

Everett Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional at Devens School in Everett, MA to support inclusion classrooms for PreK-5, middle school, and high school programs as described. You will provide academic support, implement IEP/504 accommodations, assist with behavior plans, and help students access materials and technologies. Collaboration with teachers is essential to sustain culturally responsive instruction.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher required.
• Experience with children in schools, childcare, or camps preferred.
• Experience with diverse student needs preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in another language in addition to English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support for inclusive and culturally sustaining instruction.
• Provide academic support and reinforce lessons developed by teachers.
• Implement accommodations within a student’s IEP/504 and classroom modifications.
