Job summary

The Center seeks a Teacher to plan, implement, evaluate and supervise a developmentally appropriate classroom for young children, including those with disabilities. The teacher will act as case manager by consulting with parents, therapists and staff to promote inclusive programming.

Primary responsibilities include maintaining weekly plans, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, providing supportive instruction, and ensuring a structured routine.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with relevant coursework.
  • One year of day care/teaching experience with young children preferred.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, evaluate and supervise a developmentally appropriate and inclusive curriculum for young children.
  • Serve as case manager/service coordinator for each child by consulting with parents, therapists and staff.
  • Maintain weekly lesson plans and progress notes, and a structured daily schedule.
  • Coordinate with therapists, teachers and support staff to ensure an effective instructional and therapeutic program.
  • Attend staff and parent meetings and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Follow DHS regulations and center policies to ensure quality services.
