Job summary

Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) is seeking a Communications Specialist to support accessibility-focused communications across internal and external channels. The role drives strategy, coordinates content workflows, and maintains systems for effective organization-wide communication.

Based in San Francisco with flexibility for the Bay Area offices, you will implement strategies, manage campaigns, and ensure messages reflect dignity and inclusivity across diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's prefer. Require BA (Communication, marketing, Business, literature, or related
• 5-8+ years of experience in communications, public affairs, or a related field
• Experience managing Social media for similar organizations
• Experience coordinating communications across teams or departments
• Demonstrated experience supporting disability inclusion, accessibility, and respectful representation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communications strategies and implementation across GGRC
• Maintain calendars, planning tools, and cross-team workflows
• Ensure accessibility and inclusive language across channels
• Manage channels including website, social media, newsletters, and publications
• Track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across multiple projects
• Coordinate external communications for events and external announcements
