Job summary

California Montessori Project (CMP) is seeking a Substitute to support teachers and students at CMP campuses. The role involves assisting in classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, and following instructions from teachers and principals.

The position reports to the Human Resources & Payroll Department and aligns with CMP’s mission to provide a quality Montessori education. The Substitute works 188 days per year, with responsibilities including collaboration with

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, 48 college educational units, or the ability to pass a paraprofessional exam.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Foster inclusive classroom environment and promote respect among all students.
• Monitor daily classroom operations for safety and productive activity.
• Assist in preparation and organization of classroom materials and activities.
• Direct classroom activities as assigned by Teacher or Administrator.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about the child's daily activities.
