Qualifications

• Must have earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Pass the teacher/paraprofessional assessment test with a score of 450 or higher.
• Associate degree or higher (official transcripts required).
• 48 hours of college with six hours of Math and nine hours of English (official transcripts required).

Responsibilities

• Works with students with disabilities in all educational settings individually and/or in groups to provide instructional support.
• Implements the instructional plan as developed with the classroom teacher and monitors student needs.
• Maintains a log/schedule providing support to students with disabilities within inclusive, resource and self-contained classrooms.
• Assists in supervising study areas, cafeterias, halls, playgrounds, and bus loading areas when applicable.
