Job summary

Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking applicants for the position of Special Education Inclusion Specialist. This is a full-time, on-site, contract position with start date to be determined based on availability.

The Inclusion Specialist supports student outcomes district-wide by providing consultation, coaching, and support to educators. Collaboration with school personnel, families, and partners facilitates transitions from Kindergarten through post-secondary experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
PA Department of Education approved certification preparation program.
Active PDE certification in Special Education, School Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Board certification as a Behavior Analyst helpful.
Applicants with PDE certification pending may be considered with evidence of completion and passing scores.
Entry onto the salary schedule is capped at Step 4 for prior K-12 teaching experience.

Responsibilities

Provide district-wide consultation, coaching, and support to educators.
Collaborate with school personnel, community partners, and parents/guardians to facilitate transitions from Kindergarten through post-secondary experiences.
Support a caseload of students with disabilities in approved private schools or alternative placements.
Serve as Local Education Agency representative as required.
