Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and valid Texas teaching certificate.
• ESL certification required during the first year if not already obtained.
• Must meet ESSA requirements for highly qualified teachers.
• Experience in developing behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans with accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Identify learner competencies and recommend objectives for learner needs.
• Assist in developing/writing students' IEPs and goals.
• Engage with parents and collaborate with school staff to support learner needs.
• Attend required meetings and complete reports.
• Sustain extracurricular activities as assigned and supervise approved activities.
• Maintain classroom safety and manage student behavior according to district policies.
