Job summary

Lewis & Clark College seeks an Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement (IME) Assistant Director to support daily IME operations and mentor student leaders. The role focuses on increasing access, belonging, and engagement around inclusion for a diverse student body.

The ideal candidate has experience in creating inclusive programs, collaborating with campus partners, and supporting student persistence and belonging in higher education. This is a part-time, 0.83 FTE position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience creating access, belonging, and engagement around diversity and inclusion.
• Experience working with people who face economic or social barriers.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong collaboration with campus partners and community organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead IME programs with the IME Director, including GEM and heritage/month programming.
• Develop programming to advance access, belonging, and student engagement.
• Plan and implement events related to multiculturalism and diversity.
• Collaborate on campus-wide events and leadership training.
• Mentor student staff, GEM mentors, and student leaders; provide referrals to resources.
