Job summary

Howard Center in Vermont is hiring a Teaching Interventionist for the INCLUSION TABS program. You will provide behavioral treatment and SEL instruction to children aged 5–14 in schools and at a center-based program.

Responsibilities include planning curricula, implementing accommodations, crisis interventions, and collaboration with school staff to monitor progress. A Bachelor's Degree and VT teaching credentials or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or license eligible in VT.
• Strong background in supporting youth in education.
• Experience with emotionally/behaviorally challenged children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement academic and environmental accommodations.
• Curriculum development and daily planning for instructional delivery.
• Use behavior techniques to model appropriate interaction and shape behavior.
• Crisis Intervention to ensure safety of students and others.
• Teach social and adaptive skills including problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Develop collaborative relationships with school personnel.
• Record and analyze academic skill levels to promote growth.
