Qualifications

• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Bachelor's degree in an education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Master's degree in Special Education.
• Successful prior special education teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize learning for students with special needs by implementing district-approved curriculum.
• Develop and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and participate in PPT meetings.
• Assist in implementing students' IEPs and behavior management plans.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and school staff to support students.
• Maintain accurate records and provide information to colleges and employers as required.
