Job summary

Qualifications

• Virginia teaching license or eligibility for special education endorsement.
• Experience developing IEPs and documenting progress.
• Ability to communicate with students, parents, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop lesson plans and IEPs to meet student needs.
• Instruct students to meet stated objectives and transfer knowledge.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction; adapt curriculum as needed.
• Evaluate student progress and prepare progress reports and IEPs.
• Communicate with parents through conferences and IEP meetings.
• Administer standardized testing per division practices.
• Follow School Board policies and state/federal regulations.
