Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Unified Incident Response Manager to lead the UIR team and align incident response with the company’s information security strategy and priorities.

You will develop standardized incident response processes, drive business continuity initiatives, and lead training, preparedness, and threat assessment efforts to strengthen resilience across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities via mentoring relationships or leading ad hoc teams.
• 5+ years of Emergency Management/Homeland Security.
• Experience in Risk Management, IT cyber threat, or public safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incident response program aligning with business strategy and continuity planning.
• Develop and oversee disaster recovery strategies, plans, and exercises.
• Set team priorities, delegate tasks, and manage budgets.
• Lead company-wide training and preparedness efforts for incidents.
• Hire and develop team members; write job descriptions and interview candidates.
