Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking an Incident Response Analyst (AI Training) to help shape the next generation of security-focused AI systems by working with realistic incident data and evaluating how AI interprets alerts and supports investigations.

You'll bring hands-on SOC experience, analyze events and incidents, assess impact and root cause, review detection rules and playbooks, and provide structured feedback to help AI systems reason like seasoned responders—working remotely on your own schedule.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations.
  • Hands-on familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tools.
  • Able to distinguish meaningful threats from noise; strong written communication.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze realistic security events, alerts, and incident cases
  • Assess impact, root cause, and appropriate remediation actions
  • Evaluate detection rules, alerting pipelines, and investigative playbooks
  • Review and rate AI-generated incident analysis for accuracy and operational relevance
  • Provide structured feedback that helps AI systems reason like experienced responders
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
  • 2+ years of experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations
  • Hands-on familiarity with SIEM platforms, alert queues, and investigation tools
  • Skilled at separating meaningful threats from background noise
  • Strong analytical mindset with clear written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working with structured feedback formats
  • No prior AI experience required — your security expertise is what matters
Nice to Have
  • Experience with threat hunting, digital forensics, or purple team exercises
  • Familiarity with common frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK or NIST IR
  • Background in cloud security operations or endpoint detection and response (EDR)
