Job summary

New York City Economic Development Corporation seeks a Senior Associate to join the Incentives team within the Strategic Investments Group. You will manage discretionary tax incentive transactions from origination through closing, conduct financial analyses, due diligence, and advise on financing programs to businesses and nonprofits.

You'll support development of new financial assistance programs and collaborate across NYCEDC and with external partners, reporting to senior leadership and boards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; budgeting/financial statement experience is a plus.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated project management and analytical abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage discretionary tax incentive transactions from origination through closing.
• Review applications for financial assistance; conduct financial analysis and due diligence.
• Advise applicants on incentives and financing programs; present findings to senior staff and boards.
• Collaborate across NYCEDC and with external partners to advance strategic initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to junior staff on transactions and program requirements.
