Job summary

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is seeking a Senior Associate for the Strategy team to independently conduct research, generate insight, and support senior decision makers through clear, data-driven outputs. You will manage diverse projects, collaborate with NYC agencies, and shape strategic recommendations.

You will lead informational interviews, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis (including Excel budgets), and craft actionable solutions with a clear path

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of full-time work experience preferred.
• Experience in a strategy, operations, and/or project management role within an analytical environment preferred.
• Experience in local government, public policy, or economic development also valued.
• New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage a range of diverse, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Develop clear scopes and work plans, adapt as needed and inform senior leaders of progress.
• Use quantitative and qualitative research to develop insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Lead informational interviews and perform analysis in Excel, including budgets or financial statements.
• Communicate positions and recommendations clearly to senior leaders at EDC and City Hall.
