Job summary

Genesee Valley Educational Partnership is seeking a part-time educator to work with incarcerated youth and adult students at Wyoming & Livingston County Jails. Flexible daytime hours with ASAP start. Salary is $28/hr.

The role requires teaching certification and experience in special/alternative education, with a focus on GED prep for high school equivalency. Prior experience in incarcerated settings is desirable.

Qualifications

• NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education 7-12 or 7-12 Content Area.
• Experience in Special Education/Alternative Education preferred.
• Understanding of Literacy Prep Education for the GED exam leading to High School Equivalency desirable.
• Prior experience in an incarcerated setting desirable.
