Job summary

Genesee Valley Educational Partnership is seeking an instructor to teach in a jail-based setting, working with both youth and adults to meet graduation or equivalent requirements and provide transitional services.

The role notes NYS SPED certification at 7-12 or a 7-12 content area, with prior incarcerated setting experience desirable and a preference for special/alternative education background. Start date is ASAP and salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000.

Qualifications

• NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education 7-12 or any 7-12 Content Area.
• Prior experience in an incarcerated setting desirable.
• Experience in Special Education/Alternative Education preferred.
