Job description

Inbound Warehouse Operations
Location: Chagrin Falls, OH
Company: Schneider Saddlery
Position Type: Full-Time, First Shift
About the Position
Schneider Saddlery is looking for a dependable and motivated team member to join our Inbound Warehouse Operations team. Inbound is where our fulfillment process begins and plays a critical role in keeping inventory flowing throughout the Fulfillment Center.
This team is responsible for unloading incoming shipments, receiving and verifying merchandise, putting product away, replenishing picking locations, and ensuring inventory is accurately moved both physically within the warehouse and digitally within our warehouse management system.
This is a physically demanding, hands-on warehouse position that requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming trucks, trailers, and shipping containers containing merchandise and inventory.
  • Sort, stage, organize, and process incoming product for receiving.
  • Verify SKUs, quantities, and product information against incoming shipments.
  • Inspect incoming merchandise for visible damage, shortages, overages, or other discrepancies.
  • Use handheld RF scanners and our warehouse management system to accurately receive and process inventory.
  • Put away received merchandise into the correct warehouse storage locations.
  • Safely use warehouse ladders up to 12–15 feet to stock and retrieve merchandise from elevated locations.
  • Lift and handle merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs., including while working from or climbing warehouse ladders.
  • Complete daily replenishment of picking locations to ensure the Outbound team has the inventory needed to fulfill customer orders.
  • Identify picking locations requiring replenishment and move inventory from reserve/storage locations into active picking locations.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately using handheld scanners and warehouse systems.
  • Move product both physically and digitally, ensuring the system location and quantity accurately reflect where inventory is stored in the warehouse.
  • Complete bin-to-bin, storage-to-pick, replenishment, putaway, and other required inventory movements.
  • Verify inventory movements are completed correctly and communicate discrepancies to leadership.
  • Palletize, wrap, stage, and organize incoming merchandise.
  • Safely operate material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Maintain clean and organized receiving docks, staging areas, aisles, ladders, and storage locations.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures when unloading, lifting, climbing, moving, and storing merchandise.
  • Support other Inbound and Fulfillment Center operations based on daily business needs.
Inventory & Replenishment Responsibilities
A key part of this position is maintaining the connection between physical inventory and system inventory.
Team members are expected to:
  • Understand that every physical inventory movement must be accurately reflected in the warehouse management system.
  • Use handheld scanners to complete inventory transactions as product moves throughout the facility.
  • Replenish active picking locations from reserve inventory based on operational needs.
  • Confirm the correct SKU, quantity, source location, and destination location when moving inventory.
  • Identify and report inventory that is missing, damaged, incorrectly located, or does not match system quantities.
  • Avoid moving product without completing the appropriate digital inventory transaction.
  • Maintain accurate product locations to support inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding warehouse position. Team members must be able to safely perform physical work throughout their scheduled shift, including:
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Repeated bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise.
  • Lifting and handling merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Climbing and working from warehouse ladders up to 12–15 feet while stocking and retrieving product.
  • Safely handling merchandise while ascending and descending ladders.
  • Unloading floor-loaded trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
  • Working inside shipping containers and trailers while unloading merchandise.
  • Moving cartons, pallets, carts, and individual products throughout the warehouse.
  • Performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Working at a consistent pace while maintaining safety and accuracy.
What We're Looking For
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability and willingness to perform a physically demanding warehouse role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners and learning warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to understand and accurately complete inventory transactions.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
  • Willingness to learn receiving, putaway, replenishment, and inventory movement processes.
  • Ability to recognize problems and communicate inventory or receiving discrepancies to leadership.
  • Previous receiving, replenishment, inventory, warehouse, or fulfillment experience is preferred but not required.
  • Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
Success in Inbound means the right product is received, in the right quantity, placed in the right physical location, recorded in the right system location, and available when the operation needs it.
The strongest team members take ownership of inventory from the moment it arrives at the dock through receiving, putaway, replenishment, and final storage. They understand that physically moving a product is only half of the job—the inventory transaction must also be completed accurately so the entire Fulfillment Center can rely on the system.
Our Core Values

We're In It With You — Work alongside teammates with partnership and commitment.
