Job summary

Progressive Automations is seeking a detail-oriented warehouse associate to own the condition of the Blue Ash warehouse and maintain inventory integrity. You will keep spaces clean, label everything, and assist with picking/packing when needed.

The role emphasizes precise counting, moving stock to correct locations, and supporting the picking team during breaks or peak periods. Prior experience with handheld scanners and NetSuite is a plus, with training provided.

About us

Progressive Automations designs and supplies linear actuators, control boxes, brackets and related motion products for customers across North America. Our Blue Ash warehouse is a small, close-knit team of five that receives, stores, picks and ships orders for our US customers every day. Because the team is small, every person's work is visible and matters.

The role

We are looking for someone who takes real pride in an organized space and accurate numbers. In this role you own the condition of the warehouse and the integrity of the inventory in it. You keep aisles, bins and work areas clean and labeled, you count stock and fix what does not match, you put received product away in the right place the first time, and you step in to pick and pack orders when the regular pickers are on break or away.

This is a hands-on role for a person who notices the small things: a bin label that is peeling, a part sitting in the wrong location, a count that is off by two. If you are the type who cannot walk past a mess without fixing it, you will do well here.

What you will do

Keep the space in order

• Keep aisles, racking, bins, packing stations and receiving areas clean, clear and safe every day


• Maintain bin and rack labels, signage and floor markings; replace anything worn or missing


• Break down and recycle cardboard and packaging, manage supplies for packing stations and restock as needed


• Follow a daily and weekly housekeeping routine and flag anything that needs repair or attention

Protect inventory accuracy

• Perform daily cycle counts and periodic full counts using our handheld scanners and NetSuite


• Investigate and resolve count discrepancies, misplaced stock and mislabeled items, and record adjustments correctly


• Keep like items together, consolidate partial bins and make sure every SKU has a clear home


• Report recurring accuracy problems and suggest fixes to the process, not just the symptom

Put away received product

• Verify received items against the packing slip and purchase order before putaway


• Put stock away to the correct bin, scan to confirm location, and keep fast-moving items in easy-to-reach spots


• Keep receiving staged product moving so it does not sit on the floor

Support the picking team

• Cover picking, packing and order check-out during breaks, lunches, vacations and busy periods


• Pick orders accurately against the pick list and pack them to our standards


• Help with shipping tasks such as labeling and staging as needed

What we are looking for

• A team player who is happy to jump onto picking when the team needs it


• Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse or inventory software (NetSuite experience is a plus, but we will train the right person)


• Basic Microsoft Excel and email skills


• Able to lift up to 50 lb regularly, stand and walk for most of the shift, and bend, reach and climb step ladders


• Previous warehouse, inventory, stockroom or retail stock experience is an asset


• Forklift or pallet jack experience is an asset [remove if not applicable]
