Qualifications

• Fluent English required to communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential.
• Minimum high school education; college preferred.
• One year trucking experience or similar background; supervisory experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT regulations.
• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
• Physically demanding environment; may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans for inbound operations and coordinate delivery routes.
• Supervise dockworkers and drivers during unloading/loading of deliveries.
• Review hot notes, commitments, appointment freight, and equipment needs.
• Maintain communication with linehaul on loads or driver issues.
• Oversee 90-day onboarding of new drivers and dockworkers.
• Schedule dockworkers and city drivers to ensure coverage.
• Check hazmat paperwork for compliance.
• Foster a positive, respectful work environment and address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times.
• Process inbound paperwork from start to finish (manifests, hazmat closeouts, driver paperwork).
