Schedule/Shift

E Shift, Wednesday - Saturday / 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (Hours may vary based on business needs)

Compensation

$65-70k annual

Job Purpose

Position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage any staff assigned to shift including employee performance reviews and any disciplinary actions. Oversees for the supervision of all computer entry work and all paperwork flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for assigning work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, considering customer specifications and driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.
Oversee loading of inbound/outbound freight according to customer specifications.
Supervisor Local, Regional, and OTR drivers, communicate updates and work-flow changes.
Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials.
Alert Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Manager, and COO of any problems, with clear information or pictures if necessary.
Oversee and assign the processing of shipment paperwork, including scanning of BOL's.
Ensure all shipments are recorded, verified, and accurate against paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments and deliveries.
Monitor quality and accuracy of all shipments per customer specifications.
Ensure department staff meets customer requirements and that any changes are updated and staff trained.
Update the Tee Card board and TMW system.
Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries, implementing required actions.
Communicate via e‑mail prior to shift end to ensure smooth transition of workflow, issues, and concerns.
Ensure safety, training, and development of employees, drivers, and contractors per OSHA and RJW policies.
Oversee completion of all computer data entry, checking for accuracy and efficiency.
Approve shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, correcting as needed.
Monitor all overtime hours; complete daily building checks and notify Warehouse Director of equipment or building issues.
Ensure warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes and procedures, and have AIB training for handling food products.
Ensure all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed per SOP or policy; issue corrective actions as needed.
Ensure proper procedures for accident reporting, care of injured employees, and notify HR and management of emergency actions.
Perform other tasks as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.

Minimum 3+ years of warehouse supervisory/managerial experience.

Dispatch and dock supervision experience.
Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software is a plus.
Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements.

Education and/or Experience Required

Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Some college preferred.

Physical Demands

Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Activation of phone system with keyboards and buttons.
Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
Requires indoor warehouse environment; sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and kneeling during the workday.
Regular verbal communication with customers or employees.
Ability to work continuous 8‑hour shifts when required.
Vision: 20/20 corrected; hearing: 30 dB at 500‑2000 Hz.
Clear telephone communication.
Assured sound physical health per physician assessment, without controlled substance use.

Work Environment

Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and noise ranging from quiet to moderately loud.
