Farmers Insurance is hiring Inbound Sales Consultants for our Direct Sales division in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a phone-based sales role built around warm, inbound customer inquiries — people already shopping for insurance who need someone to guide them to the right coverage.

About the Role

The compensation is straightforward:

• Guaranteed base pay of $40,000+ (higher for licensed or senior candidates)
• Average performers earn an additional $27,300+ per year in monthly incentives
• Top performers consistently earn $75,000+ on top of base annually — Uncapped. Your performance drives your paycheck.
• Senior/Lead roles available for candidates with 3+ years of call center insurance sales experience, with base starting at $50,000+

No P&C license required to start. Farmers sponsors and funds your Property & Casualty licensing within your first 90 days on the job.

Responsibilities

• Take inbound calls from customers actively shopping for personal lines insurance, gather their information, run quotes, and close the sale.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for additional P&C products (home, renters, boat).
• Make outbound follow-up calls to maximize sales potential in some cases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sales experience; call center experience strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting quotas and performance metrics.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style on every call.
• Self‑motivated, competitive, and coachable.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
• Must be eligible to obtain a P&C license in all required states.

Full-Time | Base $40,000+ | Uncapped Commission
