Job summary

Steel & O'Brien Manufacturing in Ohio is seeking an Inbound Receiver to manage incoming materials from unloading through final storage. You will receive, de-crate, palletize, stock, and store items, and record inventory transactions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC).

The role requires attention to detail, strong data-entry skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Full-time on-site position with opportunities to support continuous improvement in receiving and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer, data-entry, organizational, and communication skills.
• BC or similar ERP experience preferred.
• Receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to review purchase orders and shipping documents accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload containers and domestic/international shipments.
• De-crate, palletize, stock, and store materials in the correct locations.
• Process purchase orders, intercompany shipments, and warehouse transfers in BC.
• Verify invoices, packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading, certificates, quantities, lot numbers, and product condition.
• Resolve and report shortages, damage, incorrect shipments, and documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate receiving records, inventory transactions, FIFO, and lot traceability.
• Print labels, inspection sheets, geometric reports, transfer documents, and production paperwork.
• Support Production DCC receiving and warehouse transfers.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Quality, Planning, and Transportation.
• Support continuous improvement in receiving efficiency and inventory accuracy.
